Dear all,

We would like to inform you of a planned software release for Cancer DSS in the NGIS UAT environment. CDSSv6.12.0 will be released on Tuesday, 16 September 2025 from 10:00 (BST) to 14:00 (BST).

The CDSSv6.12.0 Release Note is now available in the 'GEL Release Documentation' folder in NHS Futures.

The main changes in the CDSSv6.12.0 release are:
- Ability to see refseq transcripts for SVs and CNVs
- Ability to see and report Germline CNVs
- Bug fixes

Please note that there is no impact to the NGIS production environment during this timeframe.

Research Environment - Maintenance Notification - CloudOS Data Release Sep 18, 2025 09:00-18:00 BST

Dear Users,

We would like to inform you of a planned release being deployed for CloudOS.

SW 5.9 Serine Release will be deployed on Thursday, 18 September 2025 between 09:00 (BST) and 18:00 (BST).

Please note that we cannot ensure the normal functionality of the CloudOS application during this time.

This release will include a number of new features for CloudOS, including:
Advanced Analytics, users will benefit from clearer CLI error messages, the ability to resume and clone jobs programmatically, improved job filtering, and visibility into EBS costs and working directories.
Data Science, updates include AWS Access Point integration for interactive sessions, advanced query logic with parentheses, a resizable SQL editor, cross-schema query access, immediate query naming, and a default 12-hour session time limit.
Organisation Management, schema sharing is now restricted to Organisation Admins via Organisation settings.
Workspace Management, EBS costs are now included in batch job cost estimates, improving transparency in resource usage.

You may need to clear your browser cache within the AWS Workspace to see the changes that have been applied in the release.

NGIS Production Environment: Congenica Case Deletion - 25 September 2025 Sep 25, 2025 09:00-17:00 BST

Dear Congenica User,

This is a reminder that GEL will be deleting cases from Congenica on a regular basis. The cases that will be marked for deletion will be the ones that have been closed for 2 weeks in the Interpretation Portal, this is regardless of the amount of time that it has been in Congenica. Closed is defined as the report/summary of findings and exit questionnaire being completed by the user.

The next set of deletions will take place on the Thursday, 25 September 2025.

If you wish to keep a case in Congenica, we advise that you inform the Genomics England Service Desk at least 3 days in advance of the 2 week mark for your case.
