Dear all,
We would like to inform you of planned maintenance and a software release for Cancer DSS in the NGIS UAT environment. CDSSv6.15.0 will be released on Tuesday, 20 January 2026 from 10:00 (GMT) to 14:00 (GMT).
The CDSSv6.15.0 Release Note is now available in the 'GEL Release Documentation' folder in NHS Futures.
The main changes in the CDSSv6.15.0 release are:
- Display the metric 'genome coverage evenness'
- Minor bug fixes
Please note that there is no impact to the NGIS production environment during this timeframe.

Research Environment - Maintenance Notification - CloudOS Data Release Jan 22, 2026 09:00-18:00 GMT
Dear Users,
We would like to inform you of a planned release being deployed for CloudOS.
SW 6.1 Aspen Release will be deployed on Thursday, 22 January 2026 between 09:00 (GMT) and 18:00 (GMT).
Please note that we cannot ensure the normal functionality of the CloudOS application during this time.
This release will include 22 new features for CloudOS, including:
• Edit Cost Limit During Job Execution: Users can now update the cost limit of a pipeline job while it is running, allowing them to dynamically adjust budget thresholds based on their analysis needs.
• Default Nextflow Version Updated: The default Nextflow version for all new job submissions is now 24.04.4, ensuring compatibility with newer pipelines and features. Users can still select version 22.10.8 if required for their analysis.
• Lifebit Platform CLI updates: Job archiving/unarchiving, paginated job tables, clickable links to job outputs.
• Per-User Cost Attribution in Interactive Analysis Usage Tab: The Usage tab for interactive analyses now shows which user started and stopped each session resume, with compute and volume costs attributed to the corresponding user for clearer per-user cost visibility.
• Enhanced S3 mounting in interactive sessions: Interactive sessions now support linking entire S3 buckets via the “Link folder by S3 link” option.

NGIS Production Environment: Congenica Case Deletion - 29 January 2026 Jan 29, 2026 09:00-17:00 GMT
Dear Congenica User,
This is a reminder that GEL will be deleting cases from Congenica on a regular basis. The cases that will be marked for deletion will be the ones that have been closed for 2 weeks in the Interpretation Portal, this is regardless of the amount of time that it has been in Congenica. Closed is defined as the report/summary of findings and exit questionnaire being completed by the user.
The next set of deletions will take place on the Thursday, 29 January 2026.
If you wish to keep a case in Congenica, we advise that you inform the Genomics England Service Desk at least 3 days in advance of the 2 week mark for your case.
